BOFI International - Terms and Conditions

A. Advertisers Procedures

1. Request quotation letter and advertising contract form at bofipublishing@yahoo.com.
2. Call BOFI Publishing advertising division hotline (+632) 384-1378 / (+632) 920-9049 for advertising and billing processes.
3. Email your press release at bofipublishing@yahoo.com.
4. Wait up to five (5) working days (maximum of 5 days) limit to layout and process your ads.
5. Approve the lay-out and fax the signed Advertising Contract form to BOFI Publishing Fax No. (+632) 920-8977.

B. Press Releases

1. All advertising metarials submitted by advertisiers must be original as known by BOFI Publishing. The advertiser is responsible for any problem regarding their advertising materials.
2. Advertising materials that cannot be sent thru email must be sent by advertiser personally at BOFI Publishing Office.
3. Digital File Formats - to be supplied on CD or by email in high resolution PDF or JPG/JPEG format.
  • PDF saved in 150lpi line screen 4 colour.
  • Images used must be saved in CMYK and high resolution at 400dpi.
  • Files must be supplied as single page.
  • Full Page Advertisements must be created to include 3mm bleeds when required.
  • Crop marks must be outside the bleed area.
  • Embed all fonts, images and logos.
  • Please add 3mm bleed all round for Double Page Spread and Full Page Ads.
  • For Double Page Ads please Add 5mm Bleed into the gutter as allowance for perfect binding.
  • Keep all text and logos at least 10mm away from all edges.

C. Options and Deals to Advertise

E. Cancellation of Advertisment

1. Cancellation of advertisement must be made within five (5) days after submission of the saigned advertising contract.
2. Cancellation of advertisement should be done thru phone and by submitting a cancellation of letter to BOFI Publishing within 24 hours from such phone call.
3. 20% of the total bill for advertising shall be deducted from the 50% downpayment and only 30% may be refunded.
4. Return of downpayments will be processed one (1) month after cancellation of advertisement.

F. Billing Process

1. 50% downpayment, and 50% payable within five (5) days through postdated check reckoned from date of downpayment.
2. Advertisers who are not able to process advertisement bills in BOFI Publishing office counters may pay their bills depositing payments at BOFI Publishing bank account within five (5) days afer date of downpayment.

G. Disclaimer

1. BOFI Publishing shall not be responisble for errors in the details of the advertisement which are attributable to the advertisers.

2. Advertisers must finish BOFI Publishing samples or replicas of their advertising materials intended for publication on/or before the tenth day of every current month.

3. BOFI Publishing shall not be criminally or civilly liable for advertisments which may be found out to be violative of the provisions of the Truth in Advertising Act of the Philippines.

4. BOFI Publishing may, in defense of it's interest and good reputation, disclose to the public the identity of the person (natural or juridical) who caused the posting of any advertisement which may be found to be prejudicial to public interest.

5. It is understood that any material intended to be posted for advertisement shall be published for a period of only thirty (30) consecutive days reckoned from the signing of the advertising contract form. The advertiser may renew the contract at his option.

6. Advertisements which are not period on/or before the seventh day of the current month shall be excluded from the next issue of the Balikbayan Magazine™.

7. Should BOFI Publishing be enjoined by a lawful court order from the further circulating an issue of Balikbayan Magazine™ by reason of a legal controversy where an advertiser is impleaded as defendant in a civil case, the adversely affected advertisers hereby agree to have a legal recourse only against advertisers (who are sued) for any refund of the advertising fee.

8. Advertisers shall be discouraged from publishing materials which may be the subject of an ongoing or future adversarial litigation, unless the same is required by law or a lawful court order.

9. All paid advertisement shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.

10. Nothing in this Disclaimer shall be construed as a waiver of the exercise of BOFI Publishing's inherent legal rights.
